He had left on a trip with his wagon to hire men to pick his field of cotten and had first gone to Dallas to visit with his daughter, Mary Reynolds and her family, he left her home to return to his home and after two weeks of not hearing from him the family called her and she said he had left home two weeks ago and thought he arrived home. The belief is that he was robbed by who he hired and was killed as in the neswspaper clipping he was carrying a large amount of cash on his person. Note: !Certified copy of his will.
